The High Curbs are a garage-punk band from Southern California that’s been rocking since 2013. They started out as a small project by Ed Moreno and Aaron Korbe, and over time added more members: Alberto Alvarenga on drums, Kenny Huerta on bass, and Taylor Hecocks on guitar. They’re known for loud, gritty songs like “Want,” “Empty Bottles,” and “Always on My Mind,” plus high energy live shows that feel authentic and exciting.

This year, the High Curbs have been hitting the road for a string of shows mainly across the western United States. They were joined by two other acts, SadGirl and The McCharmlys to round out the lineup. Below is a list of some of the shows they have played so far this summer.

June 20 – Lodge Room in LA (with Liily)
July 24 – Phoenix, AZ at The Rebel Lounge (with SadGirl & The McCharmlys)
July 29 – Boise, ID at Shrine Social Club (with SadGirl & The McCharmlys)
July 31 – Seattle, WA at Substation (with SadGirl & The McCharmlys)
August 4 – Sacramento, CA at Goldfield Trading Post (with SadGirl)
August 5 – San Francisco, CA at Great American Music Hall (with SadGirl & The McCharmlys)
August 9 – Los Angeles, CA at The Belasco Theater (solo show)

The High Curbs do not have any future dates listed on their website but we will keep our eye on it and will let you know if any new dates are announced.

People who’ve seen them recently say the shows are exciting, full of energy, crowd interaction, and the genuine sound that first put them on the map. Some even rate them “10 out of 10” and can’t wait to go again. If you like your rock shows sweaty, loud, and unpredictable, in the best way possible, then this is the band to catch. The High Curbs have a growing reputation for putting on the kind of performances that makes you leave hoarse from singing along.
