Teenage Australian guitar sensation Taj Farrant, known for his electrifying performances and soulful blues-rock style, has hit an unexpected roadblock in his burgeoning career. In a heartfelt Facebook post, the 15-year-old musician revealed that his tour bus, affectionately nicknamed “the Disco,” caught fire, forcing a temporary halt to his 2025 U.S. tour. The incident has left Farrant and his family, who have been instrumental in his rise to fame, regrouping at their U.S. base in California to plan their next move.

Farrant, who moved to the United States from Australia two years ago with his parents, Brandin and Cassandra, and younger sister Jazel, has been relentless in pursuing his musical dreams. Traveling in a 1996 Fleetwood Bounder, the family has crisscrossed 43 states, bringing Taj’s prodigious talent to audiences nationwide. From small venues like Howard’s Club H in Bowling Green, Ohio, to major festivals like the Mammoth Festival of Beers & Bluesaplooza, Farrant’s performances have been incredible and we wish him a speedy return to the road.

The fire, which Farrant described as a devastating blow, occurred at a critical moment when the young guitarist was riding high on the success of his “Chapter One” album tour. The tour, which began earlier this year, showcased his original compositions alongside covers that pay homage to the blues greats who inspired him. Despite the setback, Farrant remains undeterred. In his post, he expressed gratitude to his fans for their unwavering support, noting their outreach has been a source of strength during this challenging time.

“I just want to play and make people happy with my music and abilities,” he wrote, reaffirming his commitment to his craft. To keep his momentum going, Farrant announced plans to record an instrumental album, promising a swift release to keep his fans engaged while he and his family work to resume touring.
