“The Red Clay Strays Solidify Their Rise with ACM Award, Sold-Out Tours, and a Powerful New Album”

The Red Clay Strays, Alabama’s own country rock powerhouse, are cementing their status as one of music’s most compelling acts. The band made up of, Brandon Coleman on lead vocals and guitar, Drew Nix on guitar and vocals, Zach Rishel on guitar, Andrew Bishop on bass, John Hall on drums, and Sevans Henderson on keys has taken the industry by storm, fresh off their April 2025 ACM New Duo or Group of the Year win.
They have been building the band name for years, however things took a jump in 2022 with their single “Wondering Why,” which climbed to #71 on the Billboard Hot 100 after going viral on TikTok. Their sophomore album, “Made by These Moments”, released July 26, 2024, through RCA Records and produced by Grammy winner Dave Cobb, has earned widespread praise and debuted on the Billboard 200. Tracks like “Wanna Be Loved” (#100 on the Hot 100), “Drowning,” and “Devil in My Ear” showcase their signature blend of Southern rock, country, blues, and gospel, resonating with their fan base.
The Red Clay Strays’ live performances, with sold-out shows at legendary venues like Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, The Caverns, and Raleigh’s Red Hat Amphitheater on August 16, 2025. Their “Get Right Tour” has drawn massive crowds across the U.S. and Europe, with upcoming dates including a Halloween performance at Denver’s Mission Ballroom. The band also made a memorable appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in May 2024 and contributed “Caddo County” to the “Twisters” soundtrack, further expanding their reach.
The band has made massive strides while fueling a Southern rock revival alongside peers like Whiskey Myers and Muscadine Bloodline. Recognized as part of the Grand Ole Opry’s NextStage Class of 2024 and winners of the 2024 Americana Music Emerging Artist award, they’re also nominated for Group of the Year at the 60th ACM Awards, hosted by Reba McEntire on May 8, 2025.m
