"The Itch, The Burn, The Sound: Graveyard’s Fever"
(Artist Report)

Swedish rock band Graveyard is back with a brand new album titled Fever, released on October 9, 2026, through Nuclear Blast Records. The nine track album marks the band's first full length release since Six arrived in 2023, and it finds the group returning to the heavy guitars, bluesy grooves, and psychedelic sounds that have made it a favorite among fans of classic inspired rock. Rather than trying to reinvent its sound, Graveyard decided to turn up the volume and get back to the raw, hard hitting music that helped establish its reputation.
Formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2006, Graveyard has spent nearly two decades bringing the spirit of late 1960s and 1970s rock into the modern era. Albums such as Hisingen Blues, Lights Out, and Peace helped build the band's following by blending heavy guitar riffs with blues, soulful vocals, and a psychedelic edge. With Fever, the band continues that tradition while taking a more direct approach. The group wanted the new songs to hit harder and feel more immediate, delivering the kind of music that sounds just as powerful through a set of speakers as it does in a live performance.
The album features nine songs, opening with “Back From The Grave,” a heavy, groove driven rocker influenced by the sound of Black Sabbath. Other tracks include “Tongue Tied,” “A Better Cut (Note To Self),” “Year Of The Horse,” “A Means To An End,” “Time To Tell,” “Don't Shoot!,” “Room Tempered,” and “Dead Note.” The single “A Means To An End” arrived ahead of the album on August 14, giving listeners an early taste of the band's heavier direction. The record closes with “Dead Note,” a slower, blues soaked song that gives the album a more reflective finish after the hard driving rock that comes before it.
Graveyard also took a hands-on approach to making the record, choosing to work without an outside producer and trusting the chemistry among the band members. The mixing was handled by Pelle Gunnerfeldt, whose production credits include The Hives and Refused, while Robin Schmidt handled the mastering. Dutch artist Maarten Donders created the album artwork, continuing his previous creative connection with the band. Fever was released in several physical formats, including CD and multiple vinyl editions, giving collectors plenty of ways to add the new record to their shelves.
The album's arrival also sets the stage for more live performances. Graveyard announced Scandinavian dates alongside fellow Swedish rock acts Blues Pills and Skraecködlan, with additional European and UK touring and festival appearances planned for 2027. Bringing the new songs to the stage will give the band an opportunity to show how its heavier sound fits alongside the blues-based rock that has always been at the heart of its music. For a group known for energetic performances and thick guitar tones, the new material should fit naturally into its live sets.
With Fever, Graveyard proves that it has no intention of leaving its rock-and-roll roots behind. The band has spent years building a sound that combines the weight of hard rock with the soul of the blues, and this latest album puts those qualities front and center. From the heavy opening groove of “Back From The Grave” to the slower blues of “Dead Note,” the record offers a reminder of why Graveyard has remained a respected name in modern rock. For fans who enjoy loud guitars, vintage rock influences, and music with plenty of grit and feeling, Fever is another strong chapter in the band's continuing story.
