Are you a passionate rock fan, journalist, photographer, videographer, podcaster, live event reporter, interviewer, or music enthusiast ready to help amplify indie and alternative rock?Soundwave Music Media — powered by The Soundwave Foundation — is an independent, grassroots platform dedicated to preserving and championing rock music in all its forms: indie rock, alternative, punk, desert rock, heavy metal, classic rock, and every sub-genre rooted in raw rock 'n' roll energy.We publish fresh stories Monday–Friday at 6:00 AM CST, deliver daily journalism, artist interviews, reviews, tour updates, release coverage, podcasts, video content, live streams, and more — all with a mission to spotlight emerging artists, build a corporate-free music ecosystem, and keep independent rock journalism alive and thriving.As a lean, mission-driven nonprofit operation, most roles are volunteer-based, fueled by genuine passion for the music. High-commitment contributors in specialized roles (lead writers, regular reporters, podcast producers, photographers, videographers, event coordinators, archive support, etc.) may qualify for occasional paid assignments, project stipends, or small honoraria when funding allows. We also reimburse approved out-of-pocket expenses related to Foundation activities (with prior approval).We're especially looking for people who can help with:

  • Daily news, reviews, and features on emerging and underground acts
  • Concert/live coverage, festival reporting, and on-the-ground photography/videography
  • Artist interviews and in-depth profiles
  • Podcast and video production
  • Contributing to preservation efforts (oral histories, archiving)
  • Supporting free educational workshops, panels, and community events

  2. Complete and Submit
    Fill in all sections completely and honestly. Attach or embed a recent clear photo of yourself (professional or casual is fine). Save the completed form.
