Southern California garage rockers The High Curbs are revving up for a big 2026 with the announcement of their new album HIGH SPEED, dropping May 1st.
The band just released the lead single RACER #23, a fast, gritty, restless track that perfectly captures their raw garage punk energy. Its the first taste of whats coming, and it hits hard.
The High Curbs formed in 2013 in the Inland Empire, east of Los Angeles. Founders Ed Moreno and Aaron Korbe started as teens in the suburbs, channeling that DIY suburban frustration into loud, no frills rock. The lineup tightened up in 2016 with Alberto Alvarenga, and later Kenny Huerta on bass and Taylor Hecocks on second guitar.
We actually found these guys through Thrasher Magazine and the skate scene. Theyve been regular contributors to King of the Road videos, and Thrasher premiered their Never Bothered music video back in 2018. That skate culture connection runs deep and fits their fast, aggressive, in your face style perfectly.
Over the past decade theyve put out multiple full lengths, tons of singles and EPs, and built a reputation for wild, sweaty live shows that never hold back. HIGH SPEED looks set to continue that tradition, with ten tracks including a feature with The Red Pears on Promise.
From suburban garages and skate videos to a new full length on the horizon, The High Curbs are still delivering that same raw, high energy sound that got them noticed in the first place. HIGH SPEED lands May 1st, mark your calendars.
