The new Ozzy Osbourne documentary, Coming Home, is set to air on Monday, August 18, 2025 at 9 pm on BBC One and will also be available on BBC iPlayer. It’s a one-hour special that gives fans an inside look at the rock legend’s final years. The cameras followed Ozzy, his wife Sharon, and their kids Jack and Kelly over three years as they prepared to move back to the UK after decades in the U.S. The move wasn’t easy, Ozzy was dealing with serious health problems, including Parkinson’s disease, but it had been his dream to return home.

The film mixes funny and touching family moments with the reality of Ozzy’s struggles. Kelly has a particularly moving line in the documentary, saying, “Iron Man wasn’t really made of iron,” reminding fans that even rock legends are human. One of the emotional highlights is footage from Ozzy’s final concert, “Back to the Beginning”, on July 5, 2025 in Birmingham, the city where Black Sabbath first started. This show was his last-ever live performance, and just over two weeks later, on July 22, Ozzy passed away at the age of 76.

The documentary was made by Expectation and JOKS Productions Limited, with distribution by Banijay Rights. The BBC calls it a “very personal” look into Ozzy’s life, full of warmth, humor, and some heartbreaking moments. This isn’t the only Ozzy project in the works, Paramount+ is releasing another documentary called No Escape From Now later this year, and a movie about Ozzy and Sharon’s relationship is also being developed. Coming Home isn’t just a music documentary, it’s a farewell. It shows Ozzy not only as a rock icon but also as a husband, father, and a man determined to finish his journey on his own terms.

Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home is a touching tribute to a rock legend. It shows his final years, his love for his family, and his determination to give fans one last show, even when his body was failing. It’s emotional, inspiring, and a beautiful way to say goodbye to the “Prince of Darkness.”
