Beware of Darkness is a rock band from Santa Barbara, California, best known for their powerful sound, emotional lyrics, and high-energy live shows. They started in 2010 and quickly grabbed attention with their mix of alternative rock, blues, and garage rock. Their music has been featured in video games, movies, and big tours—and even after a short break, they came back stronger with new songs and a fresh album.

Their breakthrough came in 2012 with the song "Howl", which became really popular. It was featured in video games like Saints Row IV and Need for Speed, as well as movies and TV shows like Under the Dome and Red 2. This song helped them get noticed, and they started touring with big bands like Social Distortion, Cage The Elephant, and Smashing Pumpkins.

Beware of Darkness released their first album titled Hellbound Revival/ Luna in 2011. This album has 9 songs on it that include "Don't Break Me Down," "You're Electric," "Love Mangled Heart," "Sol," "Coldspring Mountain," and "Siren Son." This album introduced them to the world. In 2013, the band released their next album titled Orthodox. This album has 12 tracks on it that include "Howl," "Sweet Girl," "All Who Remain," "End of the World," "Salvation Is Here," and "Hummingbird." The song "Howl" showed up in video games like Need for Speed and in movie trailers. The song helped them gain recognition and build a fan base.

In 2016, the band released their next album titled Are You Real? This album has 12 songs on it that include "Muthafucka," "Dope," "Tell Me This Isn't Fate," "Surrender," "Sugar in the Raw," and "Beware." This album had a raw, emotional energy, with lyrics reflecting tough personal experiences. The band released their latest album titled Lose Your Mind, Gain Your Soul in December 2024. This alum has 14 tracks on it that include "Kiss The Void," "Depression Take The Wheel," "Black of My Phone," "Tastes Like Heaven," "Dreamer of the Dream," "I Believe In The Path." This album has been well received by their fans.

Beware of Darkness made a name for themselves by touring with some of rock’s biggest names, including The Smashing Pumpkins, Social Distortion, Stone Temple Pilots, and Deftones. They’ve played at major festivals like SXSW and Vans Warped Tour, where their explosive live energy won over tons of new fans. In 2020, the band announced they were breaking up. But a year later, Kyle released two songs—"Millennials" and "Infinite In Your Arms"—as a thank-you to fans. In 2021, he announced that he would keep making music under the Beware of Darkness name, leading to the release of their new album in 2024.

Beware of Darkness isn’t just another rock band, they’ve carved out their own sound that’s raw, emotional, and full of life. Kyle’s fearless lyrics and gritty guitar playing continue to connect with fans who are looking for something real.
