"New Album in the works"
Naked Giants was formed in 2014 by Grant Mullen and Henry LaVallee, who were friends throughout their school years in Seattle, Washington. They enjoyed playing music together during their teenage years, which is what led them to form the band. Grant and Henry attended a live show at a music club in Seattle called The Crocodile, where they met Gianni Aiello, who was playing bass with the band Laser Fox. Naked Giants asked Gianni to play with them at their show on Mercer Island. He agreed and then joined the band.
Hot off the trail after winning second place in the Sound Off! competition in Emerald City in 2015, the band released four singles: "Easy Eating," "Pyramids," "Ya Ya," and "Surchin 4 U," in 2016. They followed up with the release of their first EP, R.I.P., on October 14, 2016, which was distributed by Miscreant Records. They were also signed by New West Records in 2016.
Naked Giants went to work on their debut album, SLUFF, in 2017. During this time, the band also worked with Ron Gallo on his single "Sorry Not Everybody Is You" and "The Age of Information." SLUFF was released on March 30, 2018. Steve Fisk produced this album. The album has 12 songs on it, including "Dead/Alien," "We're Alone," and "TV." The band released three singles from this album: "TV," "Everybody Thinks They Know (But No One Really Knows)," and "SLUFF." They then went on tour with Car Seat Headrest throughout 2018.
The band released Green Fuzz as an EP on January 25, 2019, which has four songs on it, including "Green Fuzz" and an acoustic version of "Everybody Thinks They Know (But No One Really Knows)." Along with the EP, there was a music video for "Green Fuzz," featuring a narrative involving three students attempting to unravel the mystery of the Green Fuzz monster and several missing students. The music video was released in July 2019.
Naked Giants released The Shadow, their second album, on August 21, 2020. This album has 11 songs on it, including these three songs: "Walk Of Doom," "Take A Chance," and "Turns Blue." The album was produced by Chris Funk. In 2023, the band released the single "Merry Christmas To You And Your Dog."
