"Paralyzed: Germany’s Heavy Blues Powerhouse Bringing 70s Riffs to the Desert Rock Stage"
(Artist Report)

Paralyzed is a heavy blues and stoner rock band from Bamberg, Germany.
Formed in the spring of 2019, these guys quickly locked into a retro sound that feels straight out of the 1970s. They mix heavy blues riffs with thick stoner grooves, pulling heavy inspiration from giants like Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Steppenwolf, and Canned Heat.
Their music is raw, riff-driven, and full of that classic hard rock swagger. The band has released multiple albums since their start, including Hidden Sun in 2019 and their latest full-length Rumble & Roar that dropped in 2025. Each record keeps that heavy, vintage energy alive while staying true to their roots.
Paralyzed has been building a solid reputation in the European stoner and heavy rock scene. They’re signed to Ripple Music, one of the top labels in the genre, and they’ve been hitting the road hard.
One of their biggest highlights came recently when they flew across the ocean to play Planet Desert Rock Weekend in Las Vegas. They even closed out night two of the festival — a huge moment for a band from a small German town.
We got a real taste of the history of desert rock when we interviewed Mario Lalli a while back, and seeing a band like Paralyzed get invited to play one of those legendary desert rock weekends shows just how respected their sound is.
Paralyzed brings that same fire to every stage they hit, whether it’s a hometown club in Bamberg or a major desert rock festival in the States. They’re part of that growing wave of European bands keeping classic heavy rock alive and kicking.
