“Futurebirds Preview Their Double Album With Three Sunlit Tracks”
( Artist Update Report)

On April 1, 2026, Futurebirds didn’t drop a big, full album like some fans might’ve expected. Instead, they gave everyone something smaller… almost like a postcard from a much bigger adventure ahead. They called it Sienna Life EP. Think of it like this: You’re about to take a long road trip across the country. Before you leave, someone hands you a short mixtape, just three songs, to set the mood for everything that’s coming. That’s exactly what this EP is.
The EP only has three songs, and it runs just a little over nine minutes. It’s quick, over before you know it, but that’s kind of the point. Futurebirds were getting ready to release a huge double album called Far Out Country. That’s a big, ambitious project with two sides, kind of like “daytime” and “nighttime,” or the light and dark parts of life. The Sienna Life EP gives you a preview of the lighter, brighter side of that world. It’s like stepping outside early in the morning, the sun just coming up, everything calm, but you know a long day is ahead.
If you’ve ever listened to Futurebirds before, you already know they don’t fit neatly into one box. They mix: rock, country and a little bit of psychedelic, dreamy sound. On this EP, that mix is still there, but it feels a bit more polished and connected. The guitars drift and shimmer. The vocals feel relaxed but emotional. Nothing feels rushed, it all kind of floats. It’s the kind of music you’d play while driving with the windows down, not really in a hurry to get anywhere, just cruising along.
One of the things that makes Futurebirds special is that they don’t have just one lead singer. They’ve got three main songwriters and vocalists, and over time, they’ve learned how to blend their voices together instead of keeping things separate. On this EP, that teamwork really shows. It doesn’t feel like three different people telling different stories, it feels more like one shared voice, like a group of friends finishing each other’s thoughts.
Even though the EP is short, the songs carry some weight. They touch on things like: growing older, figuring out where you belong, balancing freedom with responsibility and life on the road versus staying still. But nothing feels heavy-handed. It’s more like quiet reflection, those thoughts that come to you when you’re all alone, maybe driving late at night or sitting on a porch.
Part of what gives the EP its feel is how it was recorded. Some of it was done live, all together, capturing that raw, in the moment energy. Other parts were more carefully built up in the studio. So you get the best of both worlds: loose and natural but, also thoughtful and layered. Even though it’s short, Sienna Life EP is important. It’s a turning point. It shows that Futurebirds aren’t just making songs anymore, they’re building something bigger, something more connected. A full experience. This EP is basically the front door to that experience.
In the end, Sienna Life EP isn’t meant to stand alone. It’s more like: the first chapter of a book, the opening scene of a movie, or the first stretch of a long highway. It gives you a feel for where you’re headed, but it doesn’t show you everything yet. And that’s what makes it interesting. It leaves you wanting to keep going.
