Today we are taking about two brothers that go by the name Roxferry. These guys have been taking the internet by storm with their catchy heavy dance riffs and iconic tones.
Based in Sydney, Australia In the heart of New South Wales' underground scene, the brotherly bond of Roxferry is proving that garage rock's gritty soul is alive and thrashing harder than ever. The duo, comprised of vocalist/bassist Clay Teiffel and drummer Jake Teiffel, unleashed their latest EP, Unwasted, this week, a five-track collection that's already racking up streams and packing venues from Sydney's sticky-floored dives to Melbourne's rowdy rock shows.

Drawing unapologetic inspiration from the riffs of Royal Blood, the desert swagger of Queens of the Stone Age, and the arena sized anthems of Muse, Roxferry channels that same intensity into their sound, the brothers blend of rock puts a new spin on the desert rock dynamic. Clay's bass lines and Jake's precision-drilled beats collide like a storm front, delivering hooks that stick and lyrics that cut straight to the bone.

The bands EP Unwasted clocks in at just under 18 minutes, the perfect taste of what a full album will feel like. This 2025 release is hard hitting from start to finish. Showcasing the brothers ability to create a big sound with two guys.

"Sly," a standout from their 2023 Bandcamp release that's since become a fan-favorite staple, sets the tone for the EP's themes of reckless abandon and hard won clarity. Roxferry creates a atmosphere with their music, giving it their all, no filler, all fire. The new material amps it up further, blending punk-edged urgency with garage rock's raw intimacy, the perfect blend for a generation that's equal parts disillusioned and defiant.

Formed in the Teiffel brothers' family garage back in 2017, Roxferry has clawed their way from local open mics to national airplay on triple j Unearthed, Australia's go-to platform for unearthed talent. They've shared stages with heavyweights like Thirsty Merc and WAAX, turning skeptics into converts with sweat-soaked sets that leave crowds hoarse and exhilarated. Now, with a growing fan base, the band maintains and demands attention with their reels and other exciting video work, keeping listeners engaged.

The duo's trajectory is vertical, especially when they tap into the desert rock roots of America and the world catches on to the bands raw blend. The current situation is not bad with the bands merch shop buzzing with sold-out tees emblazoned with cheeky slogans like "Did He Cook?", a nod to their latest viral post that garnered a massive reaction. Also fans are snapping up vinyl pressings of Unwasted faster than the band can keep up with, with this momentum behind them the future is looking bright.

As Unwasted hits digital shelves on Spotify, Apple Music, and Bandcamp, Roxferry is set to embark on a big Australian tour kicking off in Brisbane next month, with whispers of a European jaunt in the works for early 2026. If their trajectory holds, expect the Teiffels to crash the global stage like a rogue wave! unpredictable, unstoppable, and utterly unapologetic.
