From the rugged peaks of Switzerland's Berner Oberland, emerges the band, Rooftop Sailors. The Thun-based alternative rock quartet is set to unleash their Chromasonic EP on November 21, 2025, a pulsating five-track compilation (plus three unreleased gems) that caps off a blistering "single marathon" and brings the bands boldest music yet.

Formed in the DIY haze of late 2013, Rooftop Sailors, made up of, Nevio Heimberg (guitar/vocals), Adrian Bratschi (drums/vocals), Alexander Bratschi (bass/vocals), and Maurice Rupp (guitar/vocals). This crew has always been known as a stand out of Swiss alt-rock, channeling a gritty intensity with a seismic punch. On stage the band is committed, bringing catchy riffs, working the crowd with a comedic value. An ethos that screams "walk like you own the stage."

Over the years, they've stormed festivals like Gurtenfestival, Taubertal, and Moon and Stars Locarno, while carving out a fervent following across Germany and the UK. Discographically, they've built a nice catalog. It started with the scrappy 2015 EP Mazes and Dead Ends, evolved through Dead Water (2017) and Uranium (2020), then exploded with the 2021 full-length Kaleidoscope, this album was a kaleidoscopic dive into life's absurdities, laced with pop hooks and critical barbs. It really set the table.

Their sophomore album, Retroslave (2024), cranked the disco-rock dial, wile earning SRF 3's "Best Talent" nod in February and daily spins for bangers like "New High" and "Shivers." However in 2025, the band shattered the mold. Kicking off last November with a relentless single sprint. Releasing tracks like "Doubts" (feat. The Souls, (October 2nd) already gaining traction with streams and playlists.

These guys love to experiment with different sounds and styles, with the band declaring, "After more than ten years of making music together, we decided to stop worrying about genres and just follow whatever ideas felt right." The bands music, Produced in-house with that signature Thun grit. Their latest EP arrives just in time for a Zurich release bash on November 21-22, there will be surprise guests, custom light shows, DJ spins, and art that pulses like a heartbeat. Fresh off their April Trenches Tour rampage through Germany, they're eyeing festival slots, deeper collabs, and whispers of a third album that could redefine European alt-rock.

These guys play from the heart, and it couldn’t be resonating better. Critics are buzzing, early previews call it as the bands most audacious yet, a "broad guitar symphony" In a world of algorithm-choked auto-tune, Rooftop Sailors remind us why rock still roars. Chromasonic isn't an EP; it's a beacon for the defiant, the dreamers, the ones ready rock. We look forward to what comes next!
