The band Skegss have been rocking for over a decade and they just keep getting better and better. With a surf style garage rock sound, the band definitely had that US west coast sound. However this is no California and these guys are from Australia, comprised of Ben Reed (vocals, guitar) and Jonny Lani (drums) this duo has achieved many milestones and grown a worldwide fanbase.

In 2024 the band released their most recent album “Pacific Highway Music” gaining the status as one of Australia’s most dynamic acts, Fans and critics calling the album Skegss best work yet. This response fueled the band to go on a world tour, performing in seven counties. The tour began with a high-energy set at St. Jerome’s Laneway Festival in Auckland, New Zealand, on February 6, 2025, where fans praised the band’s vibrant stage presence. The duo has since brought their raucous live show to venues like The Basement East in Nashville, TN (March 29), The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, CA (March 9), and Warsaw in Brooklyn, NY (March 21), with upcoming performances scheduled in cities like Amsterdam, Tilburg, and Brisbane through mid-July and they don’t seem to be stoping there.

June 27th, 2025 Skegss released a new EP titled “Top Heavy.” Produced by Chris Collins with Lona Vista Recordings. Six new songs, the EP starts with a smooth skate rock vibe and rolls into a Getty garage rock vibe. Tracks like “So Excited” and “Ain’t For The Faint” bring the bands corner stone skate rock sound. However “I’m Not Lost” and “Blood In The Sky” show a different side of the band, a darker sound with a bit of a Americana sound. Skegss just finished up the last leg of their European tour for Top Heavy’s release, at the end of the night the band hinted at more news coming out.
